CREATIVE ENGINEERING
My work lives in the space where imagination meets structure. Engineering is my foundation, but creativity is what gives the work its edge. A deep understanding of how materials behave - how they bend, carry load, age and respond - allows me to push them beyond the expected.

CONSTRAINTS FOR GOOD
From there, design becomes an act of exploration: shaping structure, process and material into something purposeful, efficient and quietly distinctive. I see constraints not as limits, but as creative catalysts that help reveal better, more elegant solutions.

Ideas are tested early, refined through use, and proven in the real world. We prototype, build, iterate and simplify until what remains is necessary, functional and durable.

BUILT FOR MAKING
The Polecat Workshop is a large, flexible space designed for real fabrication - prototyping, testing and building at scale. It exists to support work that needs room to evolve, whether that’s a single object refined over time or a full structure brought together in phases.

A SHARED APPROACH
Rather than carrying unnecessary overheads alone, the workshop is shared by independent makers with complementary skills. Each runs their own practice, sharing space, tools and knowledge - keeping operations lean, adaptable and focused on quality rather than volume.

SKILLS UNDER ONE ROOF
From textile and canvas fabrication to furniture making, wood turning and metalwork, the workshop brings together crafts that support and strengthen Polecat’s work. When larger projects arise, skills can align quickly - turning individual expertise into a capable, collaborative whole.

RESILIENCE BY DESIGN
This model allows work to adapt as conditions change. Individual crafts sustain momentum when larger projects pause; collaboration scales capability when they arrive. It’s a workshop designed to endure - commercially, creatively and practically - without compromise.
